What's On My Turntable: Miles

I'm not sure there's anything left to say about Miles Davis. And it's not "Where would jazz be without Miles?". It's more like "Where would music be without Miles?". Sounding like no one else before or since, bucking trends when he felt like it, stylish, opinionated, and the bedrock for the kind of talent that always went on to do great things after having worked with him. The list of players that came and went from any one of Miles' bands is staggering.

I read somewhere that Miles Davis would have turned 100 years old this year so of course I reached for some albums. Here are only ten of many. Missing him, celebrating him, appreciating him.
